Do you require a deposit to confirm the booking?
To secure a booking we require a 50% non-refundable deposit and the balance paid no later than 30 days prior to your event.
Please advise us via email if you would like to proceed with a booking we will send through our account details, booking agreement along with the deposit payment invoice.
Upon receipt of deposit payment, you will also receive our music info form for all your song requests, schedule, contact details etc
If you don't know the song we want, will you learn it?
Yes! Learning up to 2 songs that are not in our current repertoire list for your special *key moments is all part of our service and included in the price
It's what makes your wedding music truly unique and personalised.
*Key moments for ceremony include processional, signing and recessional.
*Key moments for Reception include first dance, cake cutting and daughter/son parent dance, etc.
**If choosing a package that includes DJ some formalities during the night may be played by the DJ depending on the time they occur.
How many songs can we choose from your repertoire list?
You can have as little or as much input as you like. We love receiving your favourites from our repertoire list to help personalise our set list for your day/night.
We understand that every event should be personal, and we will take the time to understand your needs and make your event the perfect event.
Our Ceremony & Canapés location doesn't have power, is this okay?
Yes, we have a battery powered speaker which is perfect for outdoor Ceremony's & Canapés.
Does the price include set up and pack down?
Yes, we will arrive at least 1 hour prior to when we are booked to start performing.
Does the price include the PA sound system?
We provide all necessary PA systems specific to the venue/room requirements and use only the highest quality sound equipment.
Will you provide music during the performance breaks?
Appropriate background music will be provided between sets either Spotify playlists or by the DJ depending on the time and or package chosen.
Do we need to provide food and drinks for the artists?
For reception bookings more than two hours duration, you will need to provide a “vendor meal” for each musician (plus either alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages). Please check with your reception venue, as vendor meals are typically charged at a reduced rate.
What is your covid-19 postponement policy?
If in the event that we have to cancel your booking due to Covid then any amounts paid will be refunded in full.
If in the event that you need to cancel due to Covid the 50% deposit payment will be forfeited but we will endeavour to reschedule another date for you.

Are you covered with insurance?
Groovestar Entertainment provide its employees with the relevant public liability insurance to perform live music in public spaces.
All employees are trained to set up safely and to avoid potential hazards.
Please note:
A dedicated sound operator will be required for larger band events.
Lighting will be arranged and quoted per event and may be additional to any band costs depending on the client and venue requirements.
